State symbol of the Republic of Uzbekistan
The law "On state symbol of Uzbekistan" was passed on July 2, 1992 at the 8th session of the Supreme Soviet of Uzbekistan. At the center is the Humo bird with wings spread - the symbol of happiness and freedom. Our great ancestor Alisher Navoi called the Humo the greatest living creature. At the top is the 8-sided star symbolizing the sign of the establishment of the republic, with a half moon and star inside. The sun represents the wish that our state's path is lit by a bright light. It reflects the unique nature and climate of the republic. The sheaf of wheat and the blossoming cotton symbolize the richness of our sunny land, famous around the world. They are tied by a strip that is 3-colored, similar to the flag, representing the solidarity of the people living here. The colouring of the colour image of the emblem is those: a bird Khumo is silver colour; the sun, ears, boxes of a cotton and inscription of "Uzbekistan" are golden colour; leaves of cotton and valley are green colour; mountains is blue colour; cotton in boxes, rivers, half moon and stars are white colour; the tapes of the state flag of the Republic of Uzbekistan has four colours. The emblem is widely used as a symbol of our sovereign state in political life of Republic. The image of the emblem is put on the agreements and contracts signed with foreign countries, on the documents on interstate cooperation and diplomacy. Together with it the image of the emblem is used on the internal documents, having state importance, on seales of the state enterprises and organizations, on the official documents. The brief information on a history of a word the “Gerb” The word "gerb" comes from a German word "erbo" and means transfers to the inheritances of property of the kings to the following generations. 2500 years ago in the state stretching from Iran up to Altai in which ruled Uguzkhan used turkish word "tamga" having the same meaning. The known historian writes 12 centuries Rashiddin Khamadoniy in the book "Chosen history" that Uguzkhan has divided his property and state (as areas) to his sons. And each of them had a seal. As we see that the word "tamga" has similar sense with a German word "erbo".
State flag of the Republic of Uzbekistan
The law "On the state flag of Uzbekistan" was passed on November 18, 1991, at the 8th session of the Supreme Soviet of Uzbekistan. The symbols reflect a strong political power being present on this territory, as well as natural, national and cultural characteristics. The sky blue color symbolizes the blue sky and clean water. The azure color is considered in the East with respect. It was the color of Amir Temur's flag. The white color symbolizes peace and cleanliness. The young independent state must overcome great hurdles on its path. White means good wishes for a clean bright path. Green color reflects nature. The movement in the world to protect nature is growing and uses green as well. Red color is for the life force, pulsing in each living being, the symbol of life. The half moon reflects the age-old traditions of the people of Uzbekistan. The half moon and stars symbolize the clear sky of peace. There are 12 stars, 12 being a sign of perfection. The state flag is a symbol of our past, present and future. The state flag of Republic of Uzbekistan is established in an order with flags of the sovereign states of the world before a staff of United Nations Organization in New York city. A flag of Uzbekistan rises on the receptions of state delegations under the direction of the President in foreign of the country, and as at receptions of foreign state delegations in Uzbekistan. The state flag is placed on a roof of a residence of the President of a building Oksaroy, building Oliy Majlis (Supreme Counsil - Parliament) of Republic of Uzbekistan. As a flag of Republic of Uzbekistan rises on various world competitions sportmens' stepping to pedestal from Uzbekistan, prize-winners of competitions. State anthem of the Republic of Uzbekistan
The law "On the state anthem of Uzbekistan" was passed on December 10, 1992 at the 11th session of the Supreme Soviet of Uzbekistan. The variant of the writer Abdulla Oripov and composer Mutal Burkhonov was approved. The state anthem is one of the basic symbols of state independence and awakes in the citizens of Uzbekistan patriotic feeling. During execution of a State anthem of Republic of Uzbekistan in public, the participants should sing or listen standing, putting the right hand on heart.
